In this second edition of YCSE Academy, we are targeting youths aged between 18 to 35 years old to apply as a team of three (3) members. Each team must form a female-led tech startup, meaning there should be at least one female member in a leadership position in the team. This academy offers a program that has been specially designed to accelerate the startup-based technology. During 6-month program, female-led tech startups undergo experiential business-building sessions that begins with coaching classes, then leads to a 5-day bootcamp that includes a presentation and networking day at the end to prepare participants as social techpreneurs.
These are the Top 10 initiatives that have been selected throughout the process:
AAKAR is a one-for-all sustainable fashion network in Indonesia. We provide access amongst sellers, buyers, researchers, students, and producers to gain information about sustainable and eco-fashion (reuse, upcycle, thrift, eco-production), market their products, share and gain access to educational blogs and articles, and community spaces to exchange and share their ideas and information.
Darah Kita Application is a platform that facilitates the process of finding blood donors in an emergency based on blood type and the nearest domicile / city. In addition, there is also blood stock information, locations and blood donation events closest to you on the Darah Kita application.
Gesture Linguistic application helps you to transforms words into sign language videos and is planned to vice versa. G-Ling or Gesture Linguistic could be downloaded on Google play store as keyword “G-Ling”. This application changes conventional sign language dictionaries into effective digital dictionaries.
Gumi Bamboo is an impact-driven social business based in Central Lombok, Indonesia that is initiated to empower local women who previously worked as stone miners by providing a better and safer livelihood alternative as crafter producing eco-friendly daily products such as bamboo straws, bamboo cutlery and other upcycled products.
Inowastech is an early social enterprise that focuses on the environment , especially waste management issues. They produce some innovative products and one of them is a waste cart for sorting organic and inorganic waste.
Kampung Marketer was established in a village far from the city center in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java since August 2017 with the aim of reducing unemployment and urbanization and creating young entrepreneurs in the village through technology. They educate and train young people with a curriculum that we have prepared to make competent human resources in the technology field.
Menganyam Pesisir (Coastal Weaving) is a sustainable social enterprise by empowering marginal indigenous women in coastal areas by increasing the capacity of human resources by providing “skills training, mentoring and entrepreneurship” through the utilization of abundant natural resources in the form of sea pandanus leaves (daun pandan laut) in coastal areas to become fashion woven products based on local wisdom with high selling prices.
Mooi Papua is a social enterprise that inspired by the diversity of Papua’s abundant flora, such as coconut, red fruit oil, cacao and other herbs to create beauty products. At the same time, they empower Papua women to take care their production process.
Nichoa comes with the slogan of Healthy Chocolate Culture by bringing the goodness of chocolate as a health solution. Nichoa also focused on empowering cocoa farmers and supporting sustainable development at every stage of production. They are committed to down guarding the earth by minimizing the use of plastic in our packaging.
Spairum is a social enterprise that provides drinking water filling station for bottle refills with healthy and economical quality drinking water. They aim to reduce plastic bottle waste that has made Indonesia occupy the 4th place according to World Atlas reaching 4.28 billion in Indonesia. Spairum is present in the midst of the community to make Indonesia free from plastic bottle waste.
