After taking off from bootcamp, Menganyam Pesisir is finally ready to be the first participant of YCSEA 2.0 by @america to showcase their social enterprise this Wednesday!
Their bootcamp journey, which was full of unexpected, eye-opening moments has made them more confident. They have spent the last five months implementing their new knowledge about finance, licensing, and effective social media strategy in their end-to-end business. - Created new products with lower prices to increase their target market
- Collaborated with other social enterprises to upsell
- Created giveaway events on Instagram as a marketing strategy
- Collaborated with another micro business which is also experiencing challenges to create new products using local leather.
Women Empowerment
As a social enterprise, Menganyam Pesisir takes part in empowering women especially in the coast of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Witnessing many women in the rural area living in poor conditions made Menganyam Pesisir finally decide to empower them. During their launch event, Menganyam Pesisir will dig deeper about the complicated systemic factors that women who live in rural areas face, such as lack of economic resources, lack of accessibility, lack of education, and early marriage. Imagine if rural women can get the resources they need. What kind of contribution can they make to Indonesia’s economy? Makes you feel hopeful, doesn’t it?
